wouldn't get a kick in a horsebox

A humorous phrase applied to someone who struggles doing something, especially a sport, that involves kicking. (Horses are apt to kick when placed in a "horsebox" or trailer.) That new guy on the soccer team wouldn't get a kick in a horsebox—he stinks!
