tune into (someone or something)
1. To adjust a radio or television to listen to or watch a particular broadcast. Be sure to tune into us again tomorrow, when we'll have the results of the big contest! We have over 2 million viewers tuning into our show every week.
2. To pay attention to, become aware of, or be responsive to someone or something. My father never tuned into us much when we were growing up—our mother essentially raised us on her own. I haven't tuned into current events for quite some a while. I just find it so depressing most of the time.

2. To cause someone to be in a harmonious or responsive relationship with someone or something. Often used in the passive: My therapist is tuned into my feelings. Her report tuned me into the importance of smoke detectors.
