Where have you been all my life?
An expression used to glibly tell someone that they are one's perfect romantic match, and that one wishes one had met them sooner in life. Often used lightheartedly or sarcastically about people and things alike. A: "When I look in your eyes, I see a window into a future bright with happiness and contentment." B: "Oh, Jonathan, where have you been all my life?" Oh my gosh, this is delicious. Peanut butter and Nutella sandwiches, where have you been all my life! A: "I didn't have time to cook dinner, so I went out and got some McDonald's for us tonight." B: "Oh, swoon. Where have you been all my life?"

Inf. an expression of admiration usually said to a lover. Mary: I feel very happy when I'm with you. John: Oh, Mary, where have you been all my life? John grasped her hand, stared directly at her left ear, and stuttered, "Where have you been all my life?"
