A person, typically a child, who dresses up in a costume at Halloween and goes to various people's doors to ask for candy, at which point they say the set phrase "trick or treat!" I'm a bit sad, there were hardly any trick-or-treaters coming to our door this year. Don't you think you're a bit old for a trick-or-treater?
