To dote on someone and do everything that they want. I don't know if Tom's relationship with Jeremy is healthy. It seems like he's always waiting on him hand and foot. I hate the way Terrence waits on the boss hand and foot—what a toady!

If you wait on someone hand and foot, you do everything for them. Many men expect to be waited on hand and foot because they've been spoiled rotten by their mothers. I like to lie on a beach for a week and be waited on hand and foot. Note: This expression is used to suggest that it is unreasonable for someone to be looked after in this way.
