The pervasive adherence to and upholding of stereotypically negative masculine behavior, characterized by the pursuit of social dominance, promiscuity, aggression, a propensity for violence, and suppression of emotions other than anger. This type of aggressive confrontation is what happens when toxic masculinity is the status quo.
