up to (one's) oxters (in something)

Having an excessive or overwhelming quantity of something. ("Oxter" is a dialectal term for "armpit.") Primarily heard in Ireland, South Africa. Ugh, I'm up to my oxters in papers to grade, so I can't come out tonight. Please don't get the kids any presents when you come visit us. They're up to their oxters in toys as it is.
