T(I)MTOWTDI

computer programming An acronym for "There's/there is more than one way to do it." The phrase is used as a motto by developers who use the Perl family of programming languages. Pronounced "Tim Toady." Perl lets you think outside the box with your solutions. If one doesn't work or doesn't feel right, well TIMTOWTDI! Don't listen to anyone on these forums who tells you there's only one correct way to code something. I've always taken the mentality of TMTOWTDI.
