The destruction and deterioration that someone or something experiences over time. Yikes, the ravages of time have really hit this old farmhouse. I don't know what to try to fix first. You can sure see the ravages of time on Grandma's old curtains—they're basically falling apart! All these beauty treatments promise to protect us against the ravages of time, but I think they're a bunch of baloney, personally.
