That is a high or low enough amount of money that one is willing to accept or spend. I've been looking for a new laptop, and the price is right for this one, so I'll probably pick it up later today. I'd be willing to sell my collection to you, if the price is right.

The price is very reasonable, it is a good value. This term is often used jokingly to describe something that is free but otherwise not particularly praiseworthy. For example, These golf balls we found in the pond may not look new, but the price is right. [Second half of 1900s]

If the price is right, the cost of something is reasonable or someone is being offered enough money. The price is right and the idea is right, but the cooking could be handled with a bit more care. There's nothing they won't do if the price is right.
