That which typically or generally happens to or between people; the way people normally behave. Yet another wealthy CEO gets away with theft scot-free, while the employees are left penniless. Alas, that's the way of the world. We like to think that people will innately do what benefits those around them, but that's not the way of the world, I'm afraid.
