the haves

the haves

Those who enjoy a large amount of material wealth; the upper class or the wealthy. Used especially in juxtaposition to "the have-nots," i.e., the poor. We need to wrest control and resources away from the haves of this country and redistribute them equally across the population! I come from a long line of poor folk, so I vowed at a young age to do whatever it took to become successful one of the haves. In the corrupt country, there are only two types of people—the haves and the have-nots.
