The southernmost states in America, known for consistently warm, sunny weather. Primarily heard in US. I always looked down on seniors who move to the sun belt after they retire, but now that I'm starting to get older, I find myself liking the sound of that more and more. I grew up in the sun belt, so seeing snow for the first time as a twenty-year-old was pretty remarkable.

The Sun Belt tends to attract large numbers of retirees due to its year-round warm weather. We get a lot of students moving up here from the Sun Belt who have never even seen snow before.
