To talk enthusiastically and often, typically during a certain period of time. I didn't get a chance to ask her about that because she was talking up a storm the whole night.

(informal, especially American English) dance, talk, etc. with enthusiasm and energy: They spent the evening celebrating the end of the exams, dancing up a storm at the college party. Campbell won an award for his first novel, and has been writing up a storm ever since.
