obsolete To charge an exorbitantly large amount of money for a product or service. A lot of these independent contractors looks for ways to stick it on during a job, adding charges for just about anything you could think of.

stick on

1. To be or become fastened or attached to someone or something. This putty sticks on your walls without leaving any marks or residue. I hate the way these little spiky things stick on your clothes!
2. To attach or fasten something onto someone or something else. In this usage, a noun or pronoun can be used between "stick" or "on." Would you mind sticking these posters on the walls of your school? He stuck on a badge with his name and rank so no one would question his authority to be there.
3. To add something to something else, especially something that is or seems ancillary or superfluous. I can't believe the stuck on a gratuity charge just because an extra person joined us a little later in the night. The boss keeps sticking extra requirements on our project. At this rate, it will never get done!
