1. adjective An informal shortening of "sixteenth." Typically used in same the manner as "umpteenth," especially in the phrase "for the steenth time." For the steenth time, we are NOT stopping for ice cream!
2. noun One-sixteenth of a unit, as of measurements or stock-price points. If we're off by even a steenth of an inch, the whole rig will shift out of alignment. There's no point having a conniption when your stock drops by a few steenths.
