Hats off to the Duke for telling it like it is on the .38 Special (Shooting Iron, "What's Wrong With The .38 Special?" July/Aug 2013).
Since I reread all my Handgunner back issues, it was the gun gods will I reread Duke's article (Shooting Iron, May/June 2011) on the Colt 1903 .32 (starting to babble here ...).
If you read Duke's Shooting Iron column in this issue, you know he talks a bit about how some cops he considers "Pistoleros" generally put custom grips or something on their duty guns.
I've discussed mechanical details of sighting in fixed sight handguns in past Shooting Iron columns so we won't get into it here.
The main reason I write, though, is the picture of Duke with his sword, helmet and Nambu (Shooting Iron).
In his column a short time ago (Shooting Iron, Jan/Feb 2011) the "Duke" shows his writership-self shoving a revolver in and outta' his butt pocket.
A good example was the whiney letter in Mike Venturino's column (shooting Iron, Sept/Oct 2010).
I read with much interest the two articles (Shooting Iron, ".44 Ruskie" and "The .44 Special Ain't," July/Aug 2009) regarding the .44 Russian and .44 Special--bravo!
I'm talking about the airsoft MP40 full auto BB gun I wrote about (Shooting Iron, Jan/Feb 2008).
