all men are created equal

all men are created equal

A phrase from the US Declaration of Independence that asserts the equality of all people and their shared right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness." Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. The Declaration of Independence might say that all men are created equal, but all men certainly don't receive equal treatment in society.
