On whose authority? According to whom? Used to express disagreement with or defiance against something that someone has just said. A: "There's no way a pipsqueak like you can win this race!" B: "Oh yeah? Says who?" A: "You can't take those files to the police!" B: "Oh, really? Says who—you?"

On my authority; according to me. An intentional misspelling of "says me." Used to assert one's confidence about some statement or proclamation one has just made, most often in response to the phrase "Sez who?" A: "You are not taking the car out tonight!" B: "Oh yeah? Sez who?" A: "Sez me! I paid for it, so I get to decide who uses it or not!" A: "Who says we can't go out tonight?" B: "Sez me, that's who! This is my house, and you'll do as I say!"
