A term used to refer to a broad spectrum of improper behavior (such as sexual harassment and sexual violence) without specifying the action in question. The phrase is typically applied to such behavior when it has occurred in settings with an unequal power dynamic, such as the workplace. Disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein has been accused of all manner of sexual misconduct. In this company, we have a zero-tolerance policy for sexual misconduct.
