send around for (someone or something)

1. To dispatch someone or something to a specific location in order to collect someone or something. A noun or pronoun is used either before or, less commonly, after "around." The movie sent a driver around for me every morning we were filming so I wouldn't have to worry about commuting. I'll send around my assistant for the package later today.
2. To dispatch someone or something to a specific location for someone's use or benefit. A noun or pronoun is used either before or, less commonly, after "around." We'll send some more workers around for you next week to help speed up construction. The manager of the hotel sent around a gift basket for us as an apology for the terrible experience we had there.
