2. slang One who inhales smoke or vapor in order to ingest nicotine or THC. There's a group of puffers who always sit in the back of class sucking on their vape pens. I'm more interested in marijuana for medical purposes—I haven't been a puffer since I was in college.
3. slang A car left running unattended to warm the engine and cabin on a cold day, so called for the exhaust emitting from the tailpipe. Police are warning that thefts of puffers has been rising as the weather continues turning colder. I always see puffers in people's driveways first thing in the morning during winter.
