1. To be considered a part of some particular group of people or things, especially the best, worst, or some other superlative. Their latest device ranks among the most advanced consumer technology available. They have got to rank among the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with before.
2. To consider someone or something to belong to or be a part of some particular group of people or things, especially the best, worst, or some other superlative. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "rank" and "among." I'd have to rank this among the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten. I hope you know that I rank you among my very best friends.
