FIGMO

rude slang An acronym for the phrase "fuck it, got my orders," used in the military in reference to a soldier's orders to return home at the end of service. Other, more polite versions of the acronym include "forget it, got my orders" and "farewell, I got my orders." Primarily heard in US. A few of the guys in our platoon started wearing baseball caps with FIGMO written across them. Guess they'll be out of here soon. I don't care what assignment they give me. I'm FIGMO—nothing else matters but keeping my head down and getting out of this shitheap.
