COMMON If you fight your corner, you argue strongly for what you want or believe in. The future of Britain lies in the EU, and we must fight our corner using honest and intelligent arguments. Note: Verbs such as argue, defend, and stand are sometimes used instead of fight. As usual, she passionately argued her corner. He at least had the courage to stand his corner.
