To have to listen to someone repeatedly talk about something that is embarrassing, shameful, or irritating. I let him win one time at a game of chess and now I never hear the end of it. Dude, I can't believe you wrecked your parents' car. You're never going to hear the end of it.

be continually reminded of an unpleasant topic or cause of annoyance. 2002 Observer If it was Ireland or Wales we'd support them, but not England. It's a minority nations thing. If England was to win, we'd never hear the end of it.
