Addressing on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the grid station will provide electricity to Mohmand Marble City which will result in promotion of marble industry in the area.

He also announced that Egypt will launch a new marble city at the same time next year.

These include the establishment of 'Karachi Marble City' as well as a state-of-the-art technology park in NED University.The decision was taken in a meeting of the public-private partnership policy board presided by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, a statement issued on Tuesday said.

The minister said that the Loralai has plenty of natural resources and rich mineral reserves that was why the provincial government had declared the district as marble city.

BUNER -- A jirga of Salarzai tribe, which was also attended by leaders of different political parties here on Tuesday, opposed setting up of a marble city on its soil, urging the government to purchase land elsewhere and avoid use of force, otherwise the tribesmen would resist.

He Said Gadani Marble City is comprised on 600 acres which is providing a large number of revenue to government accordingly requirements of country's Industries.

The official said the marble city project is also included in Special Economic Zone under the CPEC, through which high-quality marble and granite will be exported to China for refinement.

In this connection the union leaders will meet the high ups from district to province and to convince them for taking steps to establish marble city, introduce wire cutting technology for best protection the marble deposits, echo system, greenery, population and working labors as well.

The Karachi's marble city needs government's attention as it has the potential to generate employment for thousands of jobless people and earn a formidable foreign exchange for the country by exporting the precious stones.
