1. To laugh in a shy or embarrassed manner. The young start started laughing at the carpet as shouts of amorous admiration were cried out to him from the audience.
2. slang To vomit on the floor, regardless of whether it is carpeted or not. The sight of him puking like that caused me to laugh at the carpet as well.
