To play or fool around, rather than engaging in serious activities. The phrase refers to the Walt Disney cartoon character Mickey Mouse. Would you quit Mickey Mousing around and take this work seriously? Pete is funny, but he Mickey Mouses around too much for my liking.

mouse over

1. To move the mouse cursor to a particular point on the computer display. You just need to mouse over to the file you want to copy and right-click on it.
2. To move the mouse cursor over some element on the computer display. Mouse over the picture you want to use, click on and hold it with the left button, then drag it where it needs to be.
