1. slang A very large person, typically a man. That offensive lineman is a real moose. Look at the size of that guy!
2. obsolete slang A term used by US soldiers in the Korean War for a Korean girlfriend, mistress, prostitute, or a girl or woman kept as a sex slave. Possibly adapted from the Japanese word musume, meaning "daughter" or "girl." The term is considered extremely offensive in current use. My uncle started talking about a moose he had during the war, and when I asked him what he meant, my dad made us change the subject.
