1. adjective, vulgar slang Very bad, unpleasant, or undesirable. I can't turn this in, it looks like shit! I never eat in the cafeteria—the food always smells like shit in there.
2. adjective, vulgar slang Ill or unwell. Ugh, I feel like shit. I shouldn't have drank so much last night. You look like shit, man. I think you should go home and get some rest.
3. adverb, vulgar slang Very badly; in an awful or despicable manner. My manager always treats me like shit, but never when anyone else is around, so I can't prove it.
4. adverb, vulgar slang Very poorly or improperly. I need to get a new computer. This one has been running like shit lately.
