1. slang Of or describing an improvised solution or workaround that is awkward, inelegant, or unsophisticated. A variant of "kludgy." It's admittedly a bit klugy having to daisy-chain everyone's computers together, but until the Wi-Fi is up and running, it's the best solution we've got. We had to slap together a klugy software patch to fix the exploit discovered by hackers.
2. slang Of or describing a system or solution comprising disparate elements or parts that have been poorly assembled or integrated together. Most of these inexpensive off-the-shelf computers come with a klugy mess of preinstalled software competing for resources. The tax system in this country is a klugy amalgamation of decades' worth of policies all stacked on top of one another.
