matchy-matchy

matchy-matchy

In the same pattern or color scheme as something else, often in a manner that is visually displeasing. A: "Are our outfits too matchy-matchy?" B: "Well, they are pretty similar." Take off that belt—the pattern is too matchy-matchy with the rest of your outfit. Is this furniture too matchy-matchy? I wanted a edgier vibe than I think I've achieved here.
