1. Together with someone or something; at the same time as someone or something. The prime minister attended the ceremony in company with leaders of the major religious denominations from around the country.
2. At the same level as someone or something; in league with someone or something. Thank you all for this award. It's humbling to be in company with some of the all-time legends of the sport.
