1. adjective Having very little time (to do something or be somewhere); very busy or rushed. Sorry, I'm in a rush. Could we do this interview tomorrow? I wanted to ask my professor about the exam, but I could see she was in a rush.
2. adverb Very quickly, especially more so than is normal. The car left the scene of the crime in a rush. He grabbed the package and then walked out of the office in a rush.
