The topic of discussion is likely true or apt to happen. Usually said in response to a question. A: "Do you think Dad will be late?" B: "Yeah, his last text said it was looking that way." A: "Do you think we'll land that big client?" B: "I don't know for sure, but it's looking that way—the boss just went into some important meeting with them."
