The people that are most closely involved with someone. Ever since Bridget went away to school, her immediate circle consists of her new boyfriend and friends—she hardly has time for her family anymore. Yeah, I'm friendly with Paul, but I'm not in his immediate circle or anything, so I couldn't tell you what his plans are for the weekend.
