cliché A humorous question used to remark upon the fact that someone is remarkably tall. (The implication is that they would experience different weather patterns at such an elevation.) A: "And this is my boyfriend, Jim." B: "Well, howdy, Jim. Gosh, how's the weather up there, stretch?"
