It's in the nature of things that as we get older and become more accustomed to the many responsibilities and stresses in our lives, we adopt a more conservative mindset that wants things to remain as we know them. Anonymous sources are our only real insight into these closed-doors environments, but, in the nature of things, they can never be totally verified, so such reports end up being mistrusted by a large portion of readers.
