get into a fix

get into a fix

To be in a troublesome situation. A reflexive pronoun can be used between "get" and "into." Boy, I've really gotten myself into a fix—I accidentally made plans with two different men tonight! It's not your fault—we only got into a fix because the hotel gave our room away!
