If you get in on the ground floor, you get involved in something, especially a company or a business, from the beginning so that you can gain advantages as it gets bigger. These smaller companies are getting in on the ground floor of what will be a gigantic industry. There are also opportunities developed by getting in on the ground floor with a small company, and growing with it.
