gross up
To increase the net amount of some financial figure or payment in order to include or account for deductions, such as taxes. A noun or pronoun can be used between "gross" and "up." You'll want to gross up all your profits when reporting them at the end of the year. My employers grossed me up by $3,000 that month to account for travel expenses and new equipment I would need to buy.
