1. To draw a circle around something. Just circle in your choice for dinner.
2. To move toward something in a circular path or route. The protesters are circling in on city hall.
3. To surround someone in a circle to limit their movement or ability to escape. Everyone in the store circled in to keep the robber from escaping.
