1. To access and use something as a helpful or necessary resource. I knew I had to draw upon my years of experience to get us through the situation. You have to draw upon your intuition a lot in this job.
2. To approach or come closer to someone or something. We knew the time to act was drawing upon us. The group of marauders drew upon the village silently in the night.
