To strike or assault someone violently and severely. Chiefly informal and colloquial. Hey, watch it, pal, or I'll beat the crap out of you! Two guys mugged me and then beat the crap out of me last night.

and kick the shit out of someone, knock the shit out of someone
tv. to beat someone very hard. (Usually objectionable.) Shut up, or I’ll beat the shit out of you! The teacher wanted to kick the shit out of the little felon but wisely restrained himself.
