The sensation of someone choosing to place greater value on or make their decisions based on emotions or ideological beliefs rather than accept a conflicting truth or reality. It's an unfortunate reality that a huge proportion of people will always choose feels over reals when it comes to choosing a political candidate. But of course, no one bothered to read the actual case or think about the evidence against her, right? No, the crime was heinous, and she was a convenient scapegoat, so therefore she was guilty. An unfortunate case of feels over reals.
