feed up

To feed a person or animal, especially with the aim of increasing their or its weight to a healthy or desirable level. A noun or pronoun can be used between "feed" and "up." My grandma was always feeding us up whenever we came over to visit, saying that we looked like skin and bones to her. You'll want to feed up your young snake with plenty of healthy mice.
