1. A derogatory and highly offensive term used to describe a woman who is masculine in appearance, behavior, or sensibility. Typically used of lesbians who exhibit such traits.
2. A reclaimed term used by lesbians to describe themselves or other women who are masculine in appearance, behavior, or sensibility. A: "Is this haircut too dykey?" B: "I don't know about that, but it does seem to clash with your usually femme aesthetic."
