Are you threatening me?

Are you trying to insinuate that I could face some sort of punishment or retribution (as a result of something? A: "I can't stop you, but let me remind you that I have significant influence over the advisory committee. Perhaps they'd like to hear about your involvement in this whole affair." B: "Are you threatening me? Because it won't change what I'm planning to do!"
